Yes, Singular currently does not provide a solver for char p.

Hi

I know The method solve works just for a field of characteristic 0,
If I have system of polynomials over F2, and I want to search for the solution in F4, how can I do that?

Does the example in the manual in A.9 Finite fields mean that you need to loop through all the variable to find solution?

If Singular doesn't do this,
Is there another package (preferably Free Software) better suited to this task?
