The error message is correct. The procedure/library names have changed a while ago; the procedure semicont is now called spsemicont and you need to load gmssing.lib to use it. If you run it with the optional parameter 1 it computes what was computed by semicontsqh before.

Hi,

I'm trying to reproduce the example given in (http://www.singular.uni-kl.de/Manual/2-0-5/sing_379.htm)

but I get the error: " ? semicont was replaced by spsemicont in gmssing.lib"

the command spsemicont apparently exists in gmssing, but I cannot find the help on it (its syntax).

(not in Greuel G.-M., Pfister G. A "Singular introduction to commutative algebra ")

Could you help (e.g. to correct the example in the above address)? I;m especially interested in the semicontsqh version
