Install question? |
|
|
Hello, everyone! I am testing a new install of Singular, and I am a Linux newbie. When I open Singular, here is what I see: $ ./Singular
SINGULAR / Development A Computer Algebra System for Polynomial Computations / version 3-1-0 0< by: G.-M. Greuel, G. Pfister, H. Schoenemann Mar 2009 FB Mathematik der Universitaet, D-67653 Kaiserslautern ? cannot open `standard.lib` >
A friend of mine installed Singular for me, and I'm not sure what happened with the standard.lib. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts? Where could I look for the standard.lib? Should I manually set my path to something specific? Should I create a singularrc file or something like that?
I hope this is easy and straightforward! Thanks in advance for any help.
