To set the seed value: system("--random",<seed>); and this is then the current seed value as we are not changing the past. (see http://www.singular.uni-kl.de/Manual/4-0-0/sing_400.htm)

is it possible to get the current seed value in Singular ( not the initial one)? If it is, how?
This is necessary to reproduce bugs in long tests where an error occurs only in rare cases for a specific seed...
