Hello,
did you/your friend install the Singular libraries?
The corresponding package is located at
http://www.mathematik.uni-kl.de/ftp/pub/Math/Singular/UNIX/Singular-3-1-0-share.tar.gz

Best regards,
Alexander

Hello, everyone! I am testing a new install of Singular, and I am a Linux newbie. When I open Singular, here is what I see:
$ ./Singular

SINGULAR / Development

A friend of mine installed Singular for me, and I'm not sure what happened with the standard.lib. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts? Where could I look for the standard.lib? Should I manually set my path to something specific? Should I create a singularrc file or something like that?

I hope this is easy and straightforward! Thanks in advance for any help.
