Since it doesnt seem possible to do so, is there a way to calculate the minimal polynomial of let s say x over K(x^2) in singular?

Hello,

can u define a vector space in Singular and determine if x is an element of it?

For example take the vector space V=span{x^2,y^2} over a field K and determine if x+y is an element of V.

I really dont know if I m just failing to find the obvious word in the manual.

Thx in advance
