I've found Singular more useful for my current tasks then Mathematica, Maple and others and I like very much its style So I wonder if it is alive? Do you have any plans to make use of parallel computing? saving internal information during calculations on disk? Do you have tasks for volunteers ? |

Hi, Singular is very much alive! We use it *extensively* all over in the Sage project (http://sagemath.org), and just a few minutes ago I had a live chat with a Singular developer at MSRI (in Berkeley). -- William |

Indeed, Singular is very much alive. Singular version 3.1.0 is about to be released, see ftp://www.mathematik.uni-kl.de/pub/Math ... el/pre-3-1 for a beta version. We apologize for answering your message that late, but yes, we are very much interested in volunteers, and in fact do have external collaborators. Thank you very much for offering help!
