Hello Singular guys, I was wondering what exactly degBound does on an algorithmic level when computing Gröbner bases. When using Buchbergers algorithm, does it simply omit all S-polynomials with degree > degBound? Or does it somehow keep them for further reduction? Best regards |

Yes, s-polys with a (total) degree > degBound are ignored (i.e. considered to be 0) |
